About Us >  Banned Racing
Let me start by explaining what BAAN is. www.bannedatatvnews.com is an ATV
forum started in early 2003. The site was founded on these core beliefs: freedom
of speech, honesty, humor and most importantly loyalty to its members. In
keeping with our beliefs, it is important you understand BAAN contains adult
banter, do not let this distract from the fact that our race team members are
dedicated, professionals and popular racers. Our race team members are
working professionals in jobs ranging from construction, business owners (C&D
Racing, Certified Pest Control, JC Inc.), US Naval Reserves, to working with DOD
contracts via General Dynamics.

Since the inception of BAAN, the site has attracted a cult-like following which
includes many pro and amateur racers, company owners and other well-known
individuals associated with ATV'ing. BAAN also setup a tournament to highlight its
member's achievements annually at the Ironman GNCC and have been doing so
under the BAAN name un-sponsored since 2004, we are the only ATV forum to
issue awards for our members performance. However we feel it is time to expand
and become the only ATV forum that fields an actual seasonal, sponsored race
team.

Our racers were selected based on the following criteria: Their ability as racers,
their dedication to complete specified series, enthusiasm and their
approachability/popularity trackside.

They are:

Jesse Toigo (AGP)
Ken Stanka (GNCC)
Kyle Watson (GNCC)
Steve Engel (OMA Nationals)
Johnny Kellison (MHSC)
Jerry Costello (IATVHSS Stock Class Champ)
Dusty Kostman (IATVHSS Women's Class Champ)
John Wood (IATVHSS)

We hope this 2008 season is successful with even more success 2009 season,
as we are the 1st forum to field a genuine seasonal race team, we hope to be a
paradigm for other forums.

Another truly unique part of our race team program is that we have just decided to
add and online donation program (donations rates are based on our finishes), a
donation box set up at our pits and other 1 time donations. All money received in
donation will be split 50/50 with 50% going to the National Foundation for Abused
and Neglected Children (NFANC (is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the
prevention of child abuse and neglect.)) and 50% going to the RiderDown
Foundation (RDF (is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping responsible off
road motorcyclists and ATV racers who have been injured while riding. Proceeds
are used to provide assistance to the riders and their families when faced with
medical expenses and related issues.))We will create a web page to highlight
companies who have donated (with their company logo) and also include
individual names of donors (amounts donated will not be included).
